Cyber Security Expert (Remote)

Role summary

We're hiring two Cyber Security Experts to protect Alkame, our platform, and the people who use it. It's a remote role, with occasional onsite visits to our headquarters in Dover, DE 19901, USA.

What you'll do

• Own security across the platform: applications, infrastructure, and data.
• Run threat modelling, security reviews, and hardening across the stack.
• Build out monitoring, detection, and incident response.
• Lead vulnerability management and see remediation through to the end.
• Help make secure-by-default the norm across the engineering team.

What we're looking for

• 4+ years in cyber security, or in application and infrastructure security.
• A strong grasp of common vulnerabilities, threats, and how to mitigate them.
• Hands-on experience securing cloud environments.
• Clear communication. You can make security practical instead of theatrical.

Nice to have

• Experience in fintech or another regulated, data-sensitive field.
• Relevant certifications, say OSCP or CISSP. Useful, not required.
• Familiarity with security automation and detection engineering.

Travel & eligibility

We're open to applicants of any nationality. You'll need a valid passport and the ability to travel to the United States (our Dover, DE office) for occasional onsite visits.
